Who it is for
Software teams of about 5 to 50 people who already review pull requests. First docs that pay off: deploy guides, onboarding, incident response, and security procedures.
Someone notices a stale step
The deploy guide still says to SSH. That is wrong. They open a proposal with the new text and a reason.
The team discusses it
Comments stay on the change. An admin or assigned reviewer approves. No silent overwrite.
Merge creates vN+1
The official document updates. History shows what changed and why. You can diff any two versions.
Protected documents
Change only through a proposal. One approval from an admin or assigned reviewer, then merge. Use this for incident response, security, and anything people will follow under pressure.
Unprotected documents
Editors can quick-edit. That still creates a version and can include a short note. Use this for drafts and living notes that are not yet the official path.

Sowle is multi-tenant SaaS. Create a workspace on sowle.co, invite people by email, and keep company knowledge in one place. V1 is not a self-hosted appliance and not a VPS shop.
